Crop Rotation

Definition

The practice of growing different crops in succession on the same land over multiple seasons. Rotation breaks pest and disease cycles, manages soil nutrients (alternating nitrogen-fixing legumes with heavy feeders), and reduces weed pressure. A basic rotation might be wheat–legume–root crop.
