Permaculture
Definition
A design philosophy and set of practices for creating sustainable human habitats modeled on natural ecosystems. Permaculture emphasizes perennial plants, stacking of functions, edge effects, and integration of food production with ecological processes. It was developed by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in the 1970s.
