Herb (culinary)
Definition
The fresh or dried leafy green parts of plants used in cooking for flavor, aroma, and color. Culinary herbs include basil, parsley, cilantro, thyme, rosemary, and mint. The distinction from spice is partly culinary: herbs are typically the leafy parts, spices the other plant parts.
