Calliandra physocalyx

Calliandra physocalyx is a shrub in the Fabaceae family native to South America, particularly Brazil and neighboring countries, where it grows in cerrado and other open vegetation types. It produces powder-puff flower heads with white to pink stamens and bipinnately compound leaves, bearing a distinctive inflated calyx that gives the species its name. The genus Calliandra is diverse in the Neotropics with over 100 species.
