Copaifera martii is a medium to large tree in the legume family native to Brazil, named in honor of the botanist Carl Friedrich Philipp von Martius. It grows in seasonally flooded forests and gallery forests of the Amazon basin and neighboring regions, producing valuable copaiba oleoresin from its trunk. The tree has pinnate leaves with shiny leaflets and produces small whitish flowers followed by one-seeded pods with an orange-red aril.
