Machaerium goudotii is a tree or climbing shrub in the rosewood tribe native to Colombia and adjacent South America, named after the French botanist and plant collector Justin Goudot who worked in Colombia. It produces pinkish to purple pea-type flowers and pinnately compound leaves, bearing the flat, winged single-seeded pods characteristic of the genus. The species grows in tropical montane and lowland forests of northern South America.
