Acacia prominens

Acacia prominens, known as golden rain wattle or Gosford wattle, is a graceful weeping tree or large shrub native to the central coast of New South Wales. It produces an abundant and stunning display of golden yellow cylindrical flower spikes in autumn and winter, an unusual flowering season for wattles. Widely planted as an ornamental for its spectacular autumn flowering, it grows in dry sclerophyll forest on shale soils.
