Astragalus sevangensis

Astragalus sevangensis is a milkvetch endemic to the Lake Sevan basin of Armenia, growing in the rocky slopes and alpine meadows surrounding this high-altitude lake in the South Caucasus. It represents part of the rich and highly endemic flora of Armenia, where the diverse topography and varied geology have driven the evolution of many localized plant species. Its conservation is linked to the preservation of the unique Sevan watershed ecosystem.
