Ophrestia hedysaroides is a climbing vine in the legume family native to tropical East Africa, with a resemblance to Hedysarum species as its name suggests. It produces trifoliate or pinnately compound leaves and racemes of papilionoid flowers, growing in woodland edges and forest margins. The genus Ophrestia is restricted to Africa and contains only a handful of species.
