Senna huidobriana is a shrubby legume native to the temperate to subtropical regions of Chile and Argentina, particularly occurring in the more arid zones of these countries. It produces yellow flowers and pinnately compound leaves typical of the genus, adapted to the dry, temperate conditions of the southern South American cone. The species is one of relatively few Senna species native to the temperate latitudes of southern South America.
