Zapoteca microcephala

Zapoteca microcephala is a shrub with small flower heads, as the name microcephala indicates, native to Mexico or Central America, growing in tropical dry forest and thornscrub habitats. It produces the characteristic bipinnately compound leaves and small globose flower heads of the genus, adapted to the strongly seasonal, dry conditions of its range. The genus Zapoteca includes a small group of Mexican and Central American leguminous shrubs.
