Dalea ayavacensis

Dalea ayavacensis is a shrubby legume native to the Andes of Peru and Ecuador, named after the Ayavaca province of Peru. The genus Dalea contains around 160 species distributed primarily in North and South America, many adapted to arid and semi-arid environments. This Andean species grows in highland dry scrub and paramo-adjacent habitats, producing the small, dense spikes of tiny flowers characteristic of the genus.
