Onobrychis iberica is a perennial sainfoin native to the Iberian Peninsula and surrounding regions of southwestern Europe. It grows in dry calcareous grasslands and rocky slopes, producing spikes of pink-veined flowers typical of the sainfoin genus. Like the common sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia), it is valued for its high-quality forage and its positive effects on soil fertility through nitrogen fixation.
