Definition
A fleshy fruit with a thin outer skin, a fleshy middle layer (mesocarp), and a hard inner stone (endocarp) enclosing the seed. Cherries, peaches, plums, olives, mangoes, and coconuts are all drupes. The 'stone' that you discard is the endocarp.
