Definition
A rare biome combining high rainfall (over 2,000 mm/year), mild temperatures, and dense coniferous or broadleaf forests. The Pacific coast rainforests of North America (Sitka spruce, western red cedar) and the Valdivian temperate rainforest of Chile are prime examples.
