Lupinus austrobicolor is a lupine species native to the high Andes of southern Peru or Bolivia, growing in puna grasslands and rocky montane habitats at high altitude. It produces dense spikes of colorful bicolored flowers and palmate leaves with silvery silky hairs typical of high-Andean lupines. The southern Peruvian and Bolivian Andes host a remarkable diversity of Lupinus species, many with very restricted ranges.
