Trigonella media is an annual or biennial herb native to the Middle East and Central Asia, growing in dry steppe, rocky hillsides, and cultivated areas. It produces small yellow pea flowers and characteristic fenugreek-like pods. As a relative of fenugreek, it shares some of the aromatic compounds found in the genus and grows in similar semi-arid conditions.
