Astragalus berterianus is a herbaceous perennial milkvetch native to the Mediterranean region, particularly occurring in Spain, North Africa, and possibly Sicily. It bears pinnately compound leaves and racemes of pea-type flowers typical of the enormous Astragalus genus, adapted to dry, rocky, or sandy Mediterranean soils. The species grows in garrigue, macchia, and open rocky habitats in the western Mediterranean Basin.
