Bidens insolita is a herbaceous annual or perennial plant in the beggar's tick genus native to a restricted area of Mexico or Central America, growing in open, disturbed, or forest-edge habitats. It produces yellow composite flower heads typical of the genus, and leaves with deeply divided segments, bearing achene fruits armed with barbed awns that cling to passing animals. The species represents one of many Bidens species found in the diverse flora of the Mesoamerican highlands.
