Acacia verniciflua, the varnish wattle, is a shrub native to southeastern Australia. Its phyllodes and young stems have a shiny, varnished appearance that inspired the species name. It grows in dry sclerophyll woodland and heath in Victoria, New South Wales, and South Australia, producing yellow globular flower heads in late winter and spring.
