Senecio hydrophilus is a perennial herbaceous plant in the daisy family native to southern South America, particularly Argentina and Chile, where it grows in wetland and riparian habitats as the species name suggests. It produces yellow ray flowers typical of the Senecio genus and grows in moist meadows, riverbanks, and the margins of water bodies. The species is adapted to the cool, wet conditions of Patagonian and Andean wetland environments.
