Astragalus darumbium is a perennial leguminous herb belonging to the large and diverse milkvetch genus, native to Central Asia. It grows in dry steppe, rocky hillsides, and semi-arid grasslands typical of the region, bearing pinnately compound leaves and racemes of pea-type flowers. Like many Central Asian Astragalus species, it is adapted to cold winters and hot, dry summers.
