Crotalaria avonensis, known as Avon Park harebells, is a critically endangered perennial leguminous herb endemic to a tiny area of ancient sand scrub habitat in Highlands County, Florida, USA. It is a low, mounded shrub producing small yellow flowers and inflated seed pods with loose seeds that rattle when dry, giving the rattlepod genus its name. Fewer than a dozen known populations survive, threatened by fire suppression and habitat loss in the Lake Wales Ridge scrub ecosystem.
