Senegalia tamarindifolia is a spiny shrub or small tree native to tropical Asia, from India through Southeast Asia, bearing bipinnately compound leaves reminiscent of tamarind foliage. It produces small, spherical yellow flower heads and pods typical of the broad acacia alliance, growing in dry forests, scrubland, and disturbed ground. The species is used in traditional medicine and for fuelwood in parts of South and Southeast Asia.
