Bauhinia affinis is a climbing shrub or liana in the legume family native to tropical Asia. Like other bauhinias, it bears the characteristically bilobed leaves that give the genus its common names of butterfly tree or camel's foot, and it climbs by means of tendrils. This Asian species grows in secondary forests, thickets, and forest margins, producing white to pale pink flowers in terminal or axillary racemes.
