Bauhinia albicans

Bauhinia albicans is a shrub or small tree native to the Caribbean or tropical America, producing white flowers as its epithet albicans indicates. The genus Bauhinia contains around 300 species of trees, shrubs, and lianas distributed across tropical and subtropical regions, all bearing the diagnostic bilobed or cleft leaves. This species grows in dry coastal scrubs and forests, producing its white flowers on branches that may be partially or fully leafless during the flowering season.
