Wajira albescens is a leguminous shrub native to the Horn of Africa, particularly found in dry bushland and thornscrub of Kenya, Ethiopia, and Somalia, in an area that includes the town of Wajir in northern Kenya for which the genus is named. It produces small white to cream-colored flowers and compound leaves adapted to arid conditions. The genus Wajira is a small endemic African legume group recently segregated from related genera.
