Albizia lebbeck, commonly known as siris tree, woman's tongue, or lebbeck, is a large deciduous tree native to tropical Asia and northern Australia, now widely planted and naturalized throughout the tropics worldwide. It reaches up to 30 meters in height, producing fragrant globose white flower heads with long stamens and large, papery, rattling seed pods that persist on the tree for months. The species is valued for shade, fodder, and timber, though it is considered invasive in parts of the Caribbean, Africa, and the Pacific.
