Astragalus diphacus is a perennial herbaceous legume in the vast milkvetch genus, native to central or southwestern Asia. The genus Astragalus is the largest flowering plant genus on Earth with over 3,000 species. This species produces pinnate leaves and racemes of pea-shaped flowers, growing in dry steppe, rocky hillsides, and alpine meadows characteristic of its range.
