Erythrina breviflora

Erythrina breviflora, the short-flowered coral tree, is a shrub or small tree native to Mexico and Central America, characterized by its shorter flowers compared to other coral trees. The genus Erythrina produces iconic bright red or orange flowers adapted for hummingbird and perching-bird pollination, and spiny stems. This species grows in dry forests and scrublands from Mexico to Guatemala, often leafless during flowering.
