Lupinus proculaustrinus

Lupinus proculaustrinus is a perennial lupine native to the southern Andes of Peru or Bolivia, growing in the montane and high-altitude grasslands of the southern sector of the Andean chain. It produces erect spikes of pea-type flowers and palmate compound leaves with silky hairs adapted to cold, high-altitude conditions. The species name suggests a relationship to, or distance from, another southern species in the genus.
