Wisteria × formosa is a hybrid wisteria in the family Fabaceae, a cross between Wisteria floribunda and Wisteria sinensis. It produces spectacular pendant racemes of fragrant lavender-purple papilionoid flowers in spring and is widely cultivated as an ornamental climbing vine.
