Neptunia pubescens

Neptunia pubescens is a semi-aquatic or terrestrial perennial herb in the legume family native to tropical regions of the Americas, with soft-hairy stems and leaves as its epithet indicates. The genus Neptunia contains species that often grow in or near water, producing spongy floating stems in aquatic forms, bipinnate leaves sensitive to touch, and small yellow globose flower heads. The plant is adapted to seasonally flooded habitats, ditches, and wet grasslands.
