Ononis arvensis

Ononis arvensis, known as field restharrow, is a perennial herbaceous to subshrubby legume native to Europe and western Asia, commonly found in meadows, roadsides, and disturbed agricultural land. It produces sticky-hairy stems, trifoliate leaves, and small pink to rose-colored pea-shaped flowers throughout summer. The plant has deep, tough roots that historically impeded plowing, giving rise to the common name restharrow.
