Crotalaria eriocarpa

Crotalaria eriocarpa is a herbaceous or subshrubby legume in the rattlepod genus native to Africa, with woolly-hairy pods as its epithet eriocarpa indicates. The genus Crotalaria is one of the largest in the legume family with over 600 species, most found in Africa. This species grows in open grasslands and disturbed habitats, producing yellow pea-shaped flowers and the characteristic inflated woolly pods that rattle when the seeds mature.
