Adenocarpus anagyrifolius is a shrub native to the Canary Islands and northwestern Africa. It belongs to the broom tribe of legumes and grows in the dry laurel forest margins and rocky volcanic habitats of its island home. The species name refers to a resemblance of its leaves to those of Anagyris, another Mediterranean legume, and the plant produces yellow pea flowers typical of the broom alliance.
