Oxytropis urumovii

Oxytropis urumovii is a small perennial legume in the locoweed genus, native to the Balkan Peninsula, likely Bulgaria, named in honor of botanist Ilija Urumov. It grows in rocky limestone habitats, grasslands, and dry slopes, forming compact low cushions with densely hairy pinnate leaves. The plant produces racemes of purple to violet flowers on short stems, typical of the high-elevation Oxytropis species of southeastern Europe.
