Astragalus mongholicus

Astragalus mongholicus, known as Mongolian milkvetch or huangqi, is a perennial herb native to China and Mongolia. It is one of the most important medicinal plants in traditional Chinese medicine, where its roots (astragalus root or huang qi) have been used for over 2,000 years as an immune tonic and adaptogen. The plant grows in open grasslands and hillsides, reaching 40–80 cm in height with compound leaves and pale yellow flowers.
