Dioclea lehmannii is a large woody climbing vine in the Fabaceae family native to tropical South America, growing in forest margins and secondary vegetation in Colombia, Ecuador, and possibly adjacent countries. It produces large, pendulous racemes of purple to violet flowers and large trifoliate leaves, bearing thick, woody pods with hard seeds typical of the genus. The genus Dioclea is widespread in tropical America with some species used for forage and others for ornament.
