Rhynchosia pyramidalis is a twining or climbing herbaceous legume native to tropical Africa and possibly extending into Asia, growing in forest margins, bushland, and disturbed vegetation. It produces small yellow flowers often marked with purple veining and trifoliate leaves, with pods containing black-and-red seeds typical of many Rhynchosia species. The genus is widespread in the tropics and species are used medicinally in various African traditional healthcare systems.
