Astragalus goldmanii

Astragalus goldmanii, known as Goldman's milkvetch, is a perennial leguminous herb native to the arid and semi-arid regions of northern Mexico and possibly adjacent southwestern United States. It grows in desert grasslands, dry washes, and rocky slopes, bearing pinnate leaves and racemes of pea-type flowers typical of the milkvetch genus. The species is named in honor of the naturalist and explorer Edward A. Goldman who collected extensively in Mexico.
