Marina goldmanii is a perennial leguminous herb or subshrub native to Mexico, growing in dry rocky slopes, desert grasslands, and arid scrubland habitats. It bears small dense spikes of purple to violet flowers with glandular dots characteristic of the tribe Amorpheae and small compound leaves, named after the naturalist Edward Goldman. The genus Marina is endemic to Mexico and the southwestern United States and includes about 40 species of drought-adapted legumes.
