Hydroponics
Definition
A method of growing plants in nutrient solution without soil. Roots are supported in inert media (rockwool, clay pebbles, perlite) or suspended in the nutrient solution. Hydroponics enables faster growth, higher yields per area, and year-round production in controlled environments.
